Below is a list of some of the things you may want to know.
Attending Forth Sector will not affect your benefits.

A placement is what we call a work opportunity within one of our businesses or departments. Having a placement is an opportunity to develop your work related skills. Some people can attend for a few hours per week and others can work up to 16 hours per week. The total number of hours should not exceed 16 hours.
When you come along to Forth Sector and meet our referral case manager (Melanie) and our Occupational Therapist (Cheryl) they will help you decide on your placement choice(s). They will look at your existing skills and experience and what you would like to do in the future and help you find a placement that will help you to meet your aspirations.
Our support is not time limited but we hope that the people who use our services will progress into work / education / or volunteering. Once you have moved on from Forth Sector, if you still need support you can attend the Moving on group for up to a year.

We would prefer that you speak to your GP, Occupational Therapist, Community Psychiatric Nurse, Social Worker or support worker to help you compete the forms. If you are unsure who you can ask, please call and ask to speak to the referral case manager (Melanie) on 0131 659 4710.

A business that generates income to fund a social purpose. So in our case that income funds supportive employment opportunities for people with mental health problems
