The Forth Way’ is of course a play on words. For ‘Forth’ read ‘Fourth’, not the public, private or voluntary sectors but a different way of doing things, meeting social objectives by unashamedly exploiting the tools of business.
The Forth Way is also about the way we do things, professional, enterprising and supportive – the values we aspire to and the culture of the organisation.
Aims
Forth Sector exists to support people with mental health problems to
recover and to take their rightful place as respected citizens contributing
to society; meaningful work is an important part of this. For this reason,
the organisation has chosen to provide ‘real’ work environments
in ‘real’ commercially competitive businesses.
We have supported many hundreds, if not thousands of people over the
years within our businesses; our aim is to support many more in future. Forth Sector’s
aims are simple:
